Practical Wisdom for Healing, Growth and Transformation
with Emily Boorstein, Life Coach and Student
Program Introduction
Everyone wants to feel great about themselves and their life. We want to feel free, happy, satisfied in our relationships, confident in who we are, and capable of meeting life's demands with grace and ease.
Imagine waking up each day feeling this way, ready to meet whatever life brings you.
Sometimes we face difficult challenges, and we are not always well equipped emotionally or psychologically to attend to what arises with grace. We become overwhelmed, stressed, and fall back on old predictable patterns.
The truth is, we need an advanced set of tools to navigate both the world around us and our inner world of complex thoughts and feelings. The Inner Fitness Program is a comprehensive, practical guide for living, feeling, and creating your best life, as well as navigating the everyday challenges and the really hard stuff.
Over five sessions, you will learn to recognize how your survival patterns keep you stuck and stressed, how you heal and grow your inner world, leading you to think, feel, and act from your wisest adult self, so you can build the life that reflects who you really are and want to become. Each lesson focuses your attention and intention on a core dimension of inner life. When you practice shifting from survival mode to an authentically empowered and present way of being, you strengthen new wiring in your brain. This is neuroplasticity. This is how we grow and change.
In Emily's Words
Inner Fitness is a practical and powerful guide for how to live a life that feels truly free from the inside out. It is a path to greater authenticity, less stress, and more joy. Over five lessons, you will wake up to how you are living, meet and heal your inner world, build the emotional resilience to feel everything without getting stuck, develop the practices that literally rewire your brain, and step into the future self you are here to become.
These five lessons are designed to support you in awakening, healing, growing, and stepping fully into the life that is meant for you. Each lesson is designed to inform, bring insight, and inspire you to break free from all that holds you back from living your version of a free and meaningful life, a life that reflects your core values, passions, and the magic spark, the special sauce, that makes you uniquely you.
Inner Fitness teaches us how to face life's challenges with greater grace, wisdom, confidence, and emotional resilience. We build the capacity to feel grief, fear, shame and other tough emotions without getting stuck, while loosening the grip of old trauma and unconscious patterns that keep us living in survival mode.
Inner Fitness invites us to live in the present, as our wisest, most Awake Adult selves, openhearted, courageous, with an eye towards our Future Self, the part of us who already knows what it looks and feels like to live a free and abundant life.
And yes, challenges will arise, some so daunting they take our breath away. But these moments are the practice. Each challenge helps refine us, bringing us into deeper alignment with what matters most. Inner Fitness is a grounded spiritual practice. And in times of crisis, it is not just helpful. It is essential.
The Five Lessons
Lesson 1 — Nothing Changes Until You Do!
Every moment, you are operating from one of two states: Survival Mode or Creative Consciousness. One is rooted in Fear. The other is rooted in Love. And the difference between them changes everything, how you think, how you feel, how you treat yourself and the people around you.
Survival Mode is sneaky. It does not always look like panic or crisis. It shows up as judgment, blame, the need to control, scarcity thinking, and the quiet but relentless feeling that you are better than or less than the people around you. It is the voice that reacts before you have had a chance to think.
Creative Consciousness is your natural state, the one that was there before life got complicated. It is where curiosity lives, and ease, and genuine choice. It is the part of you that knows your value without having to prove it.
The shift from Fear to Love begins with a single breath. That pause, and the self-awareness it creates, is the foundation of everything that follows. Guiding you through it is your Nurturing Parent, the part of you that always tells the truth from a place of love.
Nothing changes until you do. And everything changes when you do.
Lesson 2 — Healthy Inner Dialogue
You are not one voice. You are many. And they are all talking at once.
Some of those voices are wise and loving, your Nurturing Parent, your Positive Ego, your Healthy Child and Adolescent, your Future Self. Others are wounded and scared, your Negative Ego, your Critical Parent, your Wounded Child and Adolescent. And then there is your Conscious Adult, the synergy of all your healthy voices, the part of you that sees the truth and responds wisely.
The goal of Inner Fitness is to get your Conscious Adult in the driver's seat of your life.
In this lesson, you will learn to turn up the volume on all of these inner voices and listen, not to judge them, but to understand them. Because every voice, even the most distorted or frightened, has something valuable to say. Your wounded voices are not your enemies. They are the parts of you that got hurt, formed beliefs about the world in order to survive, and have been trying to protect you ever since.
This lesson also introduces Internal Family Systems (IFS), developed by Richard Schwartz, a beautifully complementary model that works hand in hand with the Inner Fitness framework.
What happened to you? What did you decide about yourself because of it? What is the story you are here to live, and what are the beliefs you need to manifest and live it?
Lesson 3 — Feel It to Heal It
Emotions are not the problem. Avoiding them is.
We all have a full range of emotions available to us, from the most expansive states at the top of the chart to the most constricting at the bottom. But most of us spend our lives moving in a narrow band, avoiding the harder feelings and wondering why we feel stuck, flat, or disconnected.
This lesson makes an important distinction between authentic emotions, which are fluid, healing, and real, and false emotions, which are mental constructs that feel like emotions but cannot truly be felt or processed. The false emotions are Blame, Guilt, Resentment, Hostility, Self-Pity, Self-Righteousness, and Numb. As long as we are feeling these, we cannot reach what is actually there underneath.
Beneath the traps lies the real material: rage, sadness, hurt, betrayal, disappointment, grief. Much of this is stored as trauma in the body, authentic emotion that was shielded for too long, never fully felt, never released. Healing begins when we find the courage to feel and process our emotions.
And here is the truth about joy: it is healing. Joy is your brightest light, and reaching for more of it is a noble quest. But we cannot fully feel our greatest joys if we do not let ourselves feel all of our emotions.
You cannot heal if you do not feel.
Lesson 4 — The Inner Fitness Workout
Authenticity is the foundation of trustworthiness. When your inner world and outer world align, when what you say matches what you do, people trust you. Trustworthy people take responsibility for their impact, both positive and negative.
This lesson introduces the 4 Levels of Power, from Powerlessness, where life happens TO you, through Overcoming and Powerful, all the way to Magic, where you experience yourself as the conscious creator of your life. At Level 3, something shifts: you begin to see everyone and everything as an ally on your journey.
The Inner Fitness Workout itself is a set of eight practices that build your inner strength over time: Curiosity, Honesty, Humility, Remorse, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Integrity, and Let Go of Perfection.
Your brain is not fixed. Every new thought you practice, every emotion you choose to sit with, every moment you pause before reacting, you are literally rewiring yourself. That is neuroplasticity. That is Inner Fitness. It is not rocket science. It is neuroscience.
Freedom comes from responsibility.
Lesson 5 — Your Future Self
The state of being you are in right now is already cultivating your future reality. Change is always a choice.
Your Future Self is emotionally sovereign, authentically integrated, wise and present, compassionately connected, and fearlessly free. She is not a fantasy. She is the most natural, unencumbered version of you, the one that emerges when you do the inner work.
The foundation of that work is your Valued Self: Self Awareness, Self Love, Self Worth, Self Confidence, Self Esteem, and Self Respect. These are not just nice ideas. They are the inner muscles you build through practice, day by day. You cannot out-create your self-concept. Elevate that, and everything else begins to shift.
Manifestation is not magic. It is alignment. Desire points you toward your best self. Imagination lets you feel it before it arrives. Commitment closes the gap. And as you grow your Valued Self and realign your thoughts, feelings, and choices with your vision, your future begins to take shape, not because life handed it to you, but because you designed it.
The emotions you practice most become the energy field you inhabit, and that shapes the life you create.
